Positioned on a sunny, elevated incline above the village centre, the residential development is next to the agricultural district and residential neighborhoods of Embergrain and Klosternhubel, offering an ideal base for hiking and biking. Its closeness to other residential areas offers an inviting, family-friendly atmosphere.
Nestled in the pre-Alpine hilly landscape at the gateway to the Bernese Oberland, Steffisburg is an open-minded, attractive town with over 15,000 inhabitants. Steffisburg is one of the largest municipalities in the canton of Bern. The direct connection to the A6 motorway, optimal public transport, and proximity to the town of Thun (reachable in a few minutes) as well as Interlaken and Bern (approx. 30 minutes) make Steffisburg an attractive place to live and work. Lake Thun, the River Aare and the renowned ski resorts in the Bernese Oberland offer summer and winter sports attractions nearby. Steffisburg lies in a former bay of the prehistoric Wendelsee lake. During heavy rainfall, the Zulg River, originating in Innereriz, often became a raging river, filled in and created a triangle of land over the years. Steffisburg borders on the municipalities of Thun, Homberg, Fahrni, and Heimberg.
